Bartending School by Gigz Labs is an all-in-one bar learning app that includes:
A practical, game-based way to learn how to make drinks (at home or for bartending practice)
My Bar, where you track ingredients you have, see what drinks you can make, get recommendations to unlock more drinks, and generate shopping lists
A bartending encyclopedia and training program (offered free)
We collect information in three main ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from third parties (only when applicable).
Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:
My Bar inventory data (ingredients you have, quantities if you choose to track them)
Shopping lists / grocery lists you create, including items auto-added based on drinks you want to learn
Drink preferences (favorites, “want to learn” lists, saved recipes)
Training progress (drinks practiced/mastered, scores, completion status)
Notes you optionally add (e.g., substitutions, reminders)
Support communications (messages you send to us, including email address and any details you include)
Important: You can use many features without providing personal identifiers. If you choose to include personal information in notes or support messages, you are providing it voluntarily.
When you use the App, we (or our service providers) may automatically collect:
Device and app information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, and time zone
Usage data such as screens viewed and feature interactions (e.g., what sections are used most)
Diagnostic data such as crash reports, performance data, and error logs to improve stability and fix bugs
This automatic data is generally used for app functionality, troubleshooting, and improving the Service.
Some data may be processed by third parties depending on features you use:
App Store / Apple: If you download the App through the App Store, Apple may process certain information as part of providing their services. If the App offers in-app purchases, Apple processes payments and we do not receive your full payment details.
Third-party service providers: If the App uses services for analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, or notifications, those providers may process limited data on our behalf (see Section 5).
The App does not need access to sensitive device features unless a feature you use requires it.
If we ever request device permissions (such as notifications), the App will ask you at the time permission is needed and you can choose to allow or deny.
You can also manage permissions in your device settings.
We use information to:
Provide and operate the Service (including My Bar, drink recommendations, shopping lists, and training features)
Personalize your experience (e.g., show drinks you can make, recommend ingredients to unlock new drinks)
Save your preferences and progress
Improve the Service (debugging, performance, feature improvements)
Provide customer support and respond to requests
Protect the Service and users (security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention)
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in these situations:
We may share limited information with vendors who help us run the Service (for example, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, or customer support). They are permitted to process information only to provide services to us and must protect it.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
comply with a legal obligation,
protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, Gigz Labs, or the public,
prevent fraud or address security issues.
If Gigz Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
We are focused on learning and training experiences. We do not use information to track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising purposes as “tracking” is defined by Apple.
If we ever introduce tracking-based advertising in the future, we will follow applicable laws and platform requirements (including Apple’s permission prompts where required).
Some data (such as My Bar ingredients, shopping lists, and training progress) may be stored locally on your device so the App can function smoothly.
We keep information only as long as needed to:
provide the Service,
maintain security and reliability,
comply with legal obligations,
resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Diagnostic logs are generally retained for a limited period unless needed for security or reliability.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may have rights depending on where you live. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information.
Where available, you can:
edit or delete items in My Bar
delete shopping lists
reset training progress

To help us verify your request, include the email you used (if any) and relevant details. We may need to confirm your identity before completing certain requests.
The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If you use the Service outside Canada, your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate protections are in place.
The Service does NOT include links to third-party websites or services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
